Don't be scared of your grapefruit!

It seems like many people are a little intimidated by grapefruit --  but there is no need to be!  Grapefruits are packed full of vitamin A and C, can help you lose weight, and may even help lower cholesterol!  Check out these fun ways to eat your grapefruit from Publix:

  • Grapefruit Cobbler -- top a halved grapefruit with a dollop of vanilla yogurt and crumble low-fat short bread cookies.
  • Sweet & Sunny Salad -- drizzle grapefruit and orange slices with honey; sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
  • Grapefruit Whip -- toss grapefruit slices in a blend of equal parts light whipped cream and lemon-flavored yogurt.
  • Citrus Parfait -- in a parfait dish, layer 3 oz vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup granola (or other cereal), 1/4 cup peeled grapefruit, and orange wedges; repeat. Top with a dollop of whipped cream if desired!
For more information, including tips on how to prepare a grapefruit, visit our website!

Enjoy those grapefruits!
